Jousline Savra is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in practice for over a decade.

Background in Family Therapy

She began her counseling career with a Master's Degree in Marital Family Therapy from the Phillips Graduate Institute in Southern California.

She then completed her internship in two different settings:

  • For five years Jousline treated very difficult, "dual-diagnosis" patients at Pacific Clinics. These patients struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, but also suffer from mental disorders such as severe depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder;

  • Concurrently, Jousline was counseling children, adolescents, and adults in a private practice setting.
After her internship, and in addition to her private practice, Jousline practiced at an in-patient residential facility where she treated adolescents exhibiting serious emotional and relational problems.

Couples Therapy & Family Therapy

Today, Jousline's practice consists mainly of couples and families who are experiencing communication breakdowns and other relational challenges, as well as individuals who face unresolved emotional and relational struggles of various kinds, including addictions. She also helps engaged and pre-engaged couples prepare for their future commitment by introducing them to the key ingredients of a healthy marriage.

Marriage Therapy

Jousline currently treats individuals, couples and families in her private practice, and as a seasoned marriage and family therapist, her focus is threefold:
  1. Assess the challenges the individual, couple, or family is experiencing;
  2. Identify the root causes of the problems; and finally
  3. Find practical solutions that create healing and balance in their life.

Passion for Counseling Couples

But if there is one thing you should know about Jousline, it is this: she has a special passion for helping couples enhance their communication skills and resolve conflicts and grow closer to each other.

On a personal note, her prior professional experience also includes a number of years working in corporate settings and higher education, as well as producing plays in small theater.
